Minor Requirements

The minor requires 21 credits in Judaic Studies, at least 12 in courses numbered 300 or above. Students take a 12-credit core, which includes two classes selected from JSP/REL 215, 231, or 235; either a history or a sociology course (numbered 300 or above) concerned with the Jewish people; and JSP/REL 439, the Judaic Studies senior seminar.

 

An additional nine credits are required in related courses chosen in consultation with the director of the program. Two years of Hebrew are recommended but not required. Course work in Hebrew—above 102—may be counted in the nine elective credits.
